fearless-dawn-620x300

Recently announced by Asylum Press and Visionborne, Fearless Dawn #1 has just been released as an animated comic app for iPad. Asylum Press are responsible for books previously reviewed by ComicsOnline such as Eeek! No. 1 and Hairbutt The Hippo No. 1, so naturally this has our curiosity suitably peaked. Below is the official press release for this new animated app.

Fearless Dawn #1 is the first out of a four issue series, as well as being the first of many more comic series to be released in this format. Written and Illustrated by Steve Mannion, the series tells the tale of jet riding good girl Fearless Dawn as she battles her arch nemesis Helga Von Krause. Fearless Dawn infiltrates the vaunted "Manitoba Sector" to discover the secret behind Helga's chemically-induced Nazi monsters! Meanwhile, all is not well back at home base when Fearless Dawn's boss discovers our hero has broken probation and flown the coop! Join us now as Steve Mannion's beautifully rendered comic book tale unfolds in full-color animated glory!

“We’re very excited about the possibility of reaching so many people all over the world with these animated comics, “ explains publisher Frank Forte, “tablet ownership is exploding and we want to provide great comics content. Visionborne is allowing us to let readers experience comics in a way that was not possible before.”

“In bringing cutting edge and innovative technology to comics, we are striving to take the readers on a new journey. It is our belief that Asylum Press will allow us to clearly showcase the best of our know-how and to create a unique experience in the world of comics,” Francesco Scrufari, President of Visionborne, points out.

If the above isn't convincing enough, have a look at the teaser trailer below.

Fearless Dawn #1 is available right now on the App store and iTunes for only $0.99. She's a scantily-clad babe who fights monsters. What the hell are you waiting for?

Audio visual multimedia extraordinaire (at least in his own mind), Aussie Dave dragged Jayden into this glorious den of geek pop culture, and it's gonna take more than what you can offer to drag him away. Unless you bribe him with Ninja Turtles related merchandise... then all bets are off.
