TV Review: ThunderCats – “Ramlak Rising” and “Song of the Petalars”
by Sammi Bold, Reporter
ThunderCats, Ho!
The Cats are back in action. Check out our reviews of their latest adventures:
“Ramlak Rising” picks up immediately where “Ancient Spirits of Evil” left off, with Lion-O (Will Friedle), Tygra (Matthew Mercer), and Cheetara (Emmanuelle Chriqui) mourning the death of their father and King. Lion-O’s rage at Mumm-Ra causes him to abandon the mission of finding the Book of Omens, and instead wanting to avenge his father. The group starts on their journey, but not before joining with the adorable kittens, WilyKit and WilyKat. Lion-O’s angst drives the story forward by angering his friends and brother to keep going forward despite the harsh conditions.

Fast forward 30 years later and it looks like the cycle is set to repeat itself once again as ThunderCats returns to TV in a huge way!

TV Review: Futurama “Neutopia” and “Benderama”
by Kroze Kresky, Media Editor
The show that was once canceled and then reborn as a set of DVD movies and then brought back as a full series returns again for another season of high tech futuristic wacky hijinx! That’s right, tonight is the return of Futurama on Comedy Central with two all brand new episodes starring our favorite bunch of lovable space delivery misfits. The real question is can the series still meet our expectations in terms of the level of hilarity we expect from this series.

TV Review: Supernatural – “Frontierland”
Written by Kroze Kresky
During the third season of Supernatural, head show-runner Eric Kripke started plotting out a spinoff to his hit series, while delving deep into his own mythos – chronicling the adventures of the first Hunter, Samuel Colt. Kripke felt there was so much that could be done with a Supernatural series set in the old wild west, bringing about a new feel to the genre.
Now here we are, three whole seasons later, and fans finally get a glimpse of Kripke’s vision as Sam and Dean do a little bit of time traveling back to the old days in order to find and hunt a phoenix.
TV Review: Smallville – “Booster”
Booster Gold and the Blue Beetle make their first apperances on Smallville in tonight’s episode “Booster”.
Geoff Johns returns to Smallville and has once again produced gold (pun intended), this time bringing Booster Gold to life in all of his scene stealing glory. Played by Eric Martsolf, Booster appears in a NASCAR-esque costume, complete with marketing patches. We also get references to Booster’s time-traveling robot companion, Skeets (who appears in a slightly different, but logical form in this episode). Booster’s presence in Smallville helps to push Clark into realizing how important his visibility will be once he steps into the light, and how the citizens of Metropolis might react to seeing their hero in the flesh.
Drunken Geek TV Review: Hellcats – “Woke Up Dead”
In April of 2011, ComicsOnline.com gave site reviewer Erin Hatch a mission: Watch screening dvds for several upcoming shows. Tormented by the assignment, the man turned to drinking and disappeared from the face of the earth. One week later, a tattered journal appeared on the doorstep of Senior Media Editor, Matt Sernaker. Among various chronicles of his spiritual journey, the document contained the three TV reviews. ComicsOnline is proud to present the Drunken Geek Review of Hellcats:
TV Review: Nikita – “Covenant”
Nikita has been a fairly inconsistant show since it began, but recently it has started to become a bit more solid. “Covenant” helps continue the consistency with a pretty interesting mid-season break return episode. This episode features the murkily-alligned Michael and his previous relationship to Nikita.
Nikita is going after the black boxes she so desperately desires once again, and to do so, she needs to capture drug lord Kasim (who has quite the past history with Michael… who wants him dead for what he has done), and trade him to Michael for one of the aformentioned black boxes. This plan quickly goes south when Kasim is not all what he seems to be (As no one really is in this show).
