Blu-ray Review: LEGO: Batman The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite
Wow. That’s all I can say after seeing this work of pure GENIUS. The great minds behind Warner Premier who have brought us the entire line of DC Animated movies that have come out over the past 5 years have teamed up with LEGO for possibly their greatest and newest direct to home video release: LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite, now available to own on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand, and for Digital Download. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen involving the massive cast of DC Comics characters done to date and because of which, it shines brightly by bringing all of these characters together into a storm of self aware humor that hasn’t been seen in a official production before.
Blu-ray Review: Captain America: Collectors Edition
When I was a kid, there were a couple of movies that I could watch countlessly – and, finally, one of these movies is available to own on Blu-ray: Captain America: Collectors Edition. Now, you might be confused about the Blu-ray release, since Captain America was just released by Marvel Studios in the last few years. The movie that I am referring to was originally planned to be a Theatrically Released Live Action Captain America movie (slated to be in theaters in 1990), but instead, ended up being a Direct-To-Video release in 1992. Maybe you have heard of it, or maybe you haven’t…Either way, I cannot begin to say how excited I was to hear about this release (I burnt out two copies of the film on VHS while growing up). While it might not be remembered as t he greatest Marvel adaptation ever, I think Captain America: Collectors Editor on Blu-ray stands on its own as being a fun (yet campier) take on the legacy of our hero in the red, white, and blue.
Movie Review: Star Trek Into Darkness
The crew of the USS Enterprise returns for further big screen adventures with the latest installment in the franchise: Star Trek Into Darkness. Directed by J.J. Abrams, this new story in the Trek universe focuses on a threat that hits close to home, and forces the intrepid group of explorers to face their deepest fears. Star Trek (2009) had set the bar so high that it was hard to not to walk into the sequel without raised expectations.

Movie Review: Iron Man 3
The Invincible Iron Man returns to the big screen for his latest solo adventure in Iron Man 3. After the events of Marvel’s The Avengers, our armored hero hasn’t quite been the same. It’s hard to blame Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr – The Avengers) for being a little off after teaming up with a Norse God, a monster, a living legend, and a couple of spies to fight off an alien invasion. Stark better get his act together quickly, because a new terrorist threat has emerged, and it will soon be up to Iron Man to save the day! Taking cues from the fan-favorite “Extremis” storyline, Iron Man 3 is the perfect way to get “Phase Two” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into motion!
