Comic Review: Blood Factory

The Blood Factory

While cruising the dealers’ floor at Comic Con, I came across several exhibits of interest. I want to review what was probably the most unusual booth I saw at the convention – The Blood Factory. The first thing you notice is the prop where a person gets in this table with their upper bodies visible, their lower bodies hidden behind a fleshless, dismembered lower body. This was a popular stop and always had a line of patrons waiting to imitate a victim. But there is more to The Blood Factory then a fun effect and pretty lab assistants.

DVD Review: 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams Unrated

1864, April 22. I remember that day like it was yesterday. A renegade troop of northern soldiers fighting the so called “Civil War” raped our women, murdered our children, even took out my God damn eye. I can still hear granny’s cries as they burned Pleasant Valley to the ground. They killed us all, doomed us to a life in limbo. Nothing more than ghosts seeking revenge. Guess that’s the way the good Lord wants it; eye for eye, tooth for tooth, as the Old Testament says. One thing’s for certain, our souls ain’t ever gonna find rest 'til all 2001 are avenged.

Blu-ray Review: Alice

                                    Welcome to Wonderland!

So what happens with a fairy tale after it’s happily ever after?  Obviously, life goes on and things won’t remain the same as when we left them.  Well, SyFy has taken the liberty to give a possible scenario for the sequel of Alice in Wonderland with their mini-series Alice.

DVD Review: Dead Tone

"7eventy 5ive. Here’s the rules. First, and foremost, always, and I repeat always dial star 67 before making a call. If you don’t, that will allow the weirdo/asshole on the other end of the line to call your dumb ass back. You have seventy-five seconds, that’s one minute and fifteen seconds to completely trick the person on the other end of the line into believing that what you are pitching is absolutely real. If they hang up, you lose. If they laugh you lose. Or if they’re simply not buying the B.S. you’re pitching, you lose."

DVD Review: Saw VI Directors Cut

“Don’t trust the one who saves you

Strange words to be said in a movie, unless that movie is in the Saw franchise. Saw VI is as cryptic and mystifying as ever, but the series is beginning to make sense as questions are answered from as far back as Saw III.

DVD Review: Blood Creek

“In the early 30s’ Adolph Hitler and his inner circle became obsessed with the occult, believing that the black arts were key to their plans for world domination. Nazi agents traveled the globe in search of ancient Nordic relics, known as runestones. They believed that if they harnessed the power of these stones nothing could stop the march of the master race. The symbols inscribed on these stones were said to describe the path to immortality.”
