TV Review: The X-Files 1×9 “Space”
Chelsea continues her first viewing of The X-Files, the only major geeky television show she missed the boat completely on. This episode is about a NASA project gone wrong, and Scully and Mulder investigating a strange possession of an astronaut. Unfortunately it’s not a very good episode, but it’s season one. They had plenty of time to get their feet under them and progress from here.

TV Review: Doctor Who 7×14 “The Name of the Doctor”
Chelsea looks into the season seven finale of Doctor Who and whether it managed to salvage a roller coaster of a season in terms of quality. Vastra, Jenny, Strax, and River Song join the Doctor and Clara on their last big adventure (for now): to see the grave of the Doctor himself. When his friends are captured by mysterious enemies, the Doctor is willing to visit the place he should never go and face the Great Intelligence. Clara’s mystery is solved, and we’re introduced to a strange new character played by a very welcome face.
Blu-ray Review: True Blood The Complete Fifth Season
It’s been a long winter, and as soon as it starts getting warm, I think of the summer. And with summer comes True Blood. On June 16th the show will be back for its sixth season, but they didn’t want to make their fans wait too long. We got the DVD and Blu-ray releases of True Blood The Complete Fifth Season out, so it’s time to close out the sun, lock ourselves in an underground facility with a pack of half-mad vampires, and hope Sam Merlotte isn’t looking to kill any of us. Because damn does he know how to make something hurt. Let me get my sweet tea and sway to the sound of “Bad Things” by Jace Everett.
Blu-ray Review: Gamer 3D
Chelsea takes a look at the new release of the 2009 science fiction action film Gamer, now out on Blu-ray in 3D. Revisit the world where avatars are replaced with real people, slaves to the whims of teenagers, and Gerard Butler tries to escape the system. Is it worth another look? Read and find out.
TV Review: Once Upon a Time 2×20 “The Evil Queen”
Chelsea and Jachelle talk about the newest episode of Once Upon a Time and whether or not The Evil Queen can be redeemed, should be redeemed, or if they should just stop beating a dead horse. The show is slowly moving toward the finale, but a little too slow for us. Once Upon a Time is on ABC Sunday nights at 8 PM EST.
TV Review: Game of Thrones 3×5 “Kissed By Fire”
Chelsea and Jachelle discuss the new episode of Game of Thrones "Kissed by Fire." How many shapely naked people from behind do we see this episode? The answer is five, and they're mostly not gratuitous. Shocker. Game of Thrones is on HBO Sunday nights at 9 PM EST.
TV Review: Doctor Who 7×10 “Hide”
The Doctor takes Clara to a haunted house in an attempt to get more answers about her from a psychic. Instead they get wrapped up in the mystery and try to find a lost time-traveler. Doctor Who airs on BBC America Saturday nights.
TV Review: Lost Girl Season 3 finale
Dee talks about the season finale of Lost Girl and reflects a little on the season as a whole. It might not have been the strongest one that Showcase gave us, but they did manage to end on a high note. What does next season have in store for us? We have a long time to speculate.
TV Review: The X-Files 1×8 “Ice”
In this episode of The X-Files, Mulder and Scully are snowed in at a base where the former occupants went mad and killed each other. They have assembled a team of scientists to explore the reason why, but can they get to the bottom of it before they start to turn on each other? This is an example of an episode that reminds you of another movie or TV show, but it’s done so well it feels like more of an homage.
Editorial: Chelsea’s Top Ten Favorite Animated Guys
This was actually written just for fun. One of my favorite online personalities The Nostalgia Critic did 10 Hottest Animated Woman, so I said ehhh might be fun. Don’t judge me. Although I am starting to think I seriously have a type I didn’t even realize until now. Still, the point is that some animated characters are attractive, and they’re drawn to be that way. Disney draws their characters to be beautiful, both men and women. This covers movies and TV shows. When I started writing I realized I wasn’t really talking about how the characters looked though, it was much more about their personality, so in the end I went with favorite animated guys. Who I would probably date. If they existed. Keep in mind this is all personal opinion.
TV Review: Game of Thrones 3×2 “Dark Wings, Dark Words”
In this episode of Game of Thrones, the show updates us on all of the characters it couldn’t get to in the first one. We see the current status of Arya, Bran, Rickon, Jaime, Brienne, and Theon. While it might not have been action packed, it was important to give everyone a base line of where the characters are and what to expect from here. Game of Thrones is on HBO Sunday nights at 9 PM EST.
TV Review: The X-Files 1×7 “Ghost In The Machine”
In this episode of X-Files, the show does a pretty horrible rip off of Space Odyssey and dates itself worse than ever before. Well, X-Files, they can’t all be winners. Between the hilarious computer problems and bad music, for the first time I could absolutely tell this was the 90s. Oh well. Better luck next time!
TV Review: Lost Girl 3×12 “Hail, Hale”
Lost Girl comes back with a vengeance with an excellent episode right before the finale. Dyson’s captured, Hale’s about to be the new Ash, Kenzi might be branded an enemy of the Fae, and Bo gets closer to finding out what Tamsin did to her. If only they had this energy the rest of the season, right? Lost Girl is on Showcase Sunday nights at 9 PM ET, and on SyFy Monday nights at 9 PM EST.
TV Review: Doctor Who 7×7 “The Bells of Saint John”
Doctor Who is back! Healed from the loss of his former Companions, he is absorbed with the mystery of Clara Oswin Oswald, the woman who keeps finding him and promptly dying. This new adventure takes him to present time where the enemy is wi-fi, and the new villain for the season is mentioned again. It airs on BBC America Saturday nights at 8 PM EST.
