DVD Review: Red Dwarf: Back to Earth

Nine years later… Later than what, we don’t know… but Red Dwarf is back and it is as good as ever. I first watched the series in the early 90’s and I have loved it ever since. Red Dwarf is a rare case in which a synthesis of Sci-fi and sitcom actually worked, and actually survived for as long as it did. Many other shows that tried to do what Red Dwarf did came and went during the run of the show, including an American version of the show. They even tried to bring over Kryten. Seeing as this show had lasted for so long, and the fans are clamoring for new Dwarf this seemed like the perfect opportunity to put out a new set of episodes, since the Red Dwarf movie had fallen into development hell so long ago.

DVD Review: Claymore: The Complete Series

Sexy women who are half-beast or demons, fight other demons with really big swords in order to protect humans. Claymore covers the life of these women who have been trained to be cold blooded killing machines that only want to die as a human rather than as a monster. The catch is that for them to be able to fight these demons, they must use their demon powers and the more they do that, the more they become the very demons they want to destroy. What a dilemma!

Blu-ray Review: Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition

In 1934, when Marge Champion was 14, she was approached by the Hyperion Studios to dress in a mock-up Snow White costume and become the live-action model for animators to study and draw inspiration for their upcoming release, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Over the next year, she posed and danced, creating not only the Snow White character, but also what would ultimately become the signature style of every Disney Princess to follow. With her famous red, blue, and yellow dress with the tall white collar, jet black hair and pale white skin, Snow White has become a highly recognizable symbol of the Walt Disney Company alongside the castle image and of course, Mickey Mouse.

DVD Review: One Piece Season 2 Third Voyage

I have been waiting for this volume of One Piece for some time now. Not only because we are back to what had been aired on television, but because I really wanted to see how well the voices of the characters introduced would be done. I was happy with the change.
