Magazine Review: Thor – Official Movie Special
by Elizabeth Madsen, Reviews
Perhaps it wasn’t much of a question that Thor would be so successful with Kenneth Branagh at the directing wheel, but to have a magazine created based solely on this movie definitely shows how good it is. Aimed at all ages, this magazine serves as an introduction into the beautiful branch of Thor’s place in the Marvel Universe. Whether or not you’ve been a fan of Thor since the beginning, joined our Norse god along the way, or if you’re new to the hero, this magazine will tell you what you need to know about both the movie and the comic books to enjoy his story.

Blu-ray Review: Hotel Rwanda
“I think if people see this footage they’ll say, “Oh my God that’s horrible,” and then go on eating their dinners.”
by Brenda Waldrop, Media Editor
Sadly, as chronicled in the epic film Hotel Rwanda, that’s precisely what most of the world did. In April of 1994 they sat back, eating their dinners and living their lives, while they watched as a genocide claiming the lives of over 800,000 Rwandans raged in a country that most people had barely heard of. Based on the true story of Paul Rusesabagina, expertly portrayed by Don Cheadle, who saved over 1,200 Tutsi’s during the 100 day genocide in 1994.

It’s about time! Finally, the gloves come off and a movie is written about women being women. With the honesty of Mean Girls, the humor of Ellen DeGeneres, and the heart of Baby Mama, Bridesmaids continues the revolution of women’s roles in comedy.

WonderCon 2011: Classics and Not-So-Classics
Some characters are instantly recognizable, standing the test of comic book time. But we comic nerds are creative folk, and sometimes the classics are made better with a little twist…
Gender-bending only makes them better!
Video Game Review: Thor God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier
On Friday I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at two eagerly awaited games for geeks everywhere. Thor: God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier. All brought to you by a corner stone of the gaming industry Sega. We all got a glimpse of both games last year at New York Comic Con. However this Friday I was able to actually try my hand at both games on each system.
DS Game Review: Hop: The Movie Game
Hop: The Movie Game is based off of Universal Pictures CG/live action family-friendly comedy Hop, which hit theaters on April 1st. It is as adorable as cute games featuring drum playing bunnies and evil chicks can be and would be a great addition to any child’s Easter basket this season.
