Get ready for a KILLER new take on the X-Men Universe. Ultimate Wolverine has officially arrived…hope you survive the experience!

When The Maker altered the path of this new Ultimate Universe, he created a new future for mutant-kind. In this new world, the Children of the Atom have fallen under the purview of Magik, Colossus, and Omega Red. With renegade mutants in play, it’s time for them to deploy their top-secret weapon. Official Description:
THE MAKER’S ULTIMATE WEAPON! From rising star Chris Condon (That Texas Blood) and MOON KNIGHT powerhouse artist Alessandro Cappuccio comes the story of the ULTIMATE WOLVERINE! In order to maintain control of their corner of the Maker’s world, three members of his council – Magik, Colossus and Omega Red – deploy their most lethal asset: The Winter Soldier! But WHO is the weapon behind the mask?

Creative Team:
Writer: Chris Condon
Artist: Alessandro Cappuccio
Color Artist: Bryan Valenza
Letterer: VC’s Cory Petit

Without going into spoilers, it was great to see how the X-Men’s Universe has been impacted by The Maker’s actions. We’ve seen glimpses in the other Ultimate titles, but this new story puts some of our favorite mutants in the spotlight. The first issue is on par with Ultimate Spider-Man and The Ultimates, and the stakes are clearly high as the story gets underway. The art perfectly aligns with the other Ultimate books while adding a new layer of a horror to Logan’s narrative. This feels like another must-read book from Marvel and I’m already anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
