Back at it again!

Inside Jokes and Tropes!

I made this cartoon picking fun of my daughter (Caroline) and her dude friend. He’s a great guy and a gear head. His first car was loud, and had all the “look at me!” things meant to attract the attention of girls but captivated traffic cops instead.

To be fair, I’m the folklore junkie. Caroline reads instructional stuff, and actually learns useful things from TikTok. Who knew you could use the Internet for that, right? Oh, and I’m certain she watches a lot of funny animal reels. I am certain of this, because I send her many!

The trope I use here and often is to unplug. They are hanging out, but on their phones. Sure, my family does the same, but we at least put a movie on that no one is watching!

The OG

No “Original Gangster” for this comic! It is the original.

Critter Sighting!

The Inspirations to the Comic, and Temporary Tattoos!

Some of the first Critter Temporary Tats went to Caroline and dude friend Brandon.

You, too, could join the #crittertribe! Follow on Instagram (@joe.iconic) or TikTok (@notesfortracy) for more critters! For Critter Stickers and Gear, go to Redbubble and look for the JoeIconic store. All proceeds go to buying more stickers, temporary tattoos, and other sharable promotional swag, and make coloring pages for the children who come through our local crisis charity! Also, fans send Critter Sightings from Amsterdam to Chicago or on cool kids like the ones above!  Critter Sightings are usually posted on social media on the weekends.

This “Director’s Cut” of the cartoons is exclusively on ComicsOnline.com! Come back to ComicsOnline for Critters, Comic Book Reviews, and Everything Geek Pop Culture!

Joe is a husband, #girldad, and Orphan of Apollo. He has drawn critters since riding the bus in 5th grade, and they have appeared on notes to loved ones, graffiti in a Latin classroom (sorry Rev. Dr Clark!), training slides for work, a newsletter in Alaska, and notes to his wife Tracy, who encouraged him to share them with the world. Contains pop culture references, stuff from the news, but mostly bad dad jokes.
