The thrift store apparently takes Dad Jokes, though!
Thrifty
The heroes in Critterverse not only clean up litter, but also run a food pantry and a thrift store. My girls love their thrift stores! My daughter found her last prom dress for $7 in a thrift store, and it fit perfectly. Also, I have retold that story a hundred times or more. #ProudDad My favorite charity has a thrift store that funds their entire operations and payroll, so 100% of donations go to their cause of helping out our neighbors in need. This is why the thrift store is a recurring theme in the comics. Plus we have a clothing consumption problem in the United States. We send tons of our leftover, discarded clothing to Africa, where they refer to them as “Dead White People Clothing,” because why else would people discard workable clothing in such huge amounts? Also, saving money is good, so I can buy more Critter Stickers and Critter Merch and give out to fans. All proceeds go to buying more stickers/merch for the kids who come through my favorite charity, as well as making coloring pages for them. Check out one of my social media feeds for Tuesday Fan Art, and now you know why there is so much fan art posted. Stay tuned for my running gag for essential thrift store jobs in the next comic!
OG
ComicsOnline.com posted the first draft of this cartoon on April 13, 2022. I appreciate the spacing out of the dialogue that four panels allow, especially when considering the reel or TikTok format. Less words per panel helps! I also re-wrote Norville’s dialogue in the last panel. Maybe it flows better? More…thrifty?
