I’m pretty sure this is how all podcast ideas start!
Podcasts!
I love podcasts! My new favorite is “Talking Nuts: A Peanuts Podcast.” Chief and Parky discuss a month of Peanuts comics, starting from the beginning of Charlie Brown. I am only up to July 1954, but they have read my correspondence with them more than once, giving recommendations of where to visit in London. If you are a Peanuts fan or studying Peanuts to grow your own skill/appreciation of sequential art, I highly recommend this podcast. Warning: they do have this bit where they eat peanut snacks and rate them, so this podcast may result in an increased longing for Pay Day bars and other candy aisle treats.
Grandsplaining Podcast
Although Grand is inspired from my father, my father really does not podcast. He recently learned how to Facebook, though, so that’s something. Texting, however, is still a work in progress.
Still, I liked the idea of Grand interviewing characters on a podcast. It serves as break/reinforcement of the narrative, and the hidden theme to listen to your elders. Unless they are talking politics, of course.
The OG
ComicsOnline.com posted the original ink and pencil colored version of this comic on April 20, 2022. I added the background to the newest edition to this comic.
And speaking of London…
