Comic Book Review: Star Trek: Defiant #15

“Star Trek: Defiant contains characters and elements from each of the first four live action Star Trek shows. This was a risk and could have turned out as a big fan-fic mess, but no. It’s glorious. Do you remember TNG episode 24? Those bugs are back and the crew of the defiant are gonna put a stop to this latest infestation. ComicsOnline gives Star Trek Defiant #15 4.5/5 good days to die.” -Kevin Gaussoin

#NotesForTracy 05/29/24

We loved eating a dessert with a decaf coffee at the end of the day, comparing notes with our fellow travel buddies, but it’s a dangerous habit to bring back home when we are no longer walking 7 miles a day!

C2E2 2024: Another Amazing Year of Cosplay!

Our ComicsOnline team once again had the privilege to roam C2E2 at Chicago’s McCormick Place for their 2024 program, and once again, I was amazed at the show of nerddom. Whether they were impressive builds, highly detailed, or just having the absolute most fun, attendees really made this year memorable.

Movie Review: Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

When I first went out to watch Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga….I was a bit confused. Mad Max was a great movie, but it was called “Mad Max”. Sure, other characters in the movie were important, but they were side characters. The idea that one of them would get a two-and-a-half-hour movie dedicated entirely to her origin story seemed like a stretch. Especially when it’s a prequel to Mad Max. But um….wow.

Comic Book Review: Void Rivals #9

Skybound’s Energon Universe continues to expand! From Robert Kirkman (the mastermind behind The Walking Dead and Invincible), Lorenzo De Felici (Oblivion Song), Patricio Depeche (Detective Comics), and Rus Wooton (Transformers) comes the next installment in the Void Rivals saga.

Comic Book Review: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #120

It’s time to go beyond the grid as readers return to the world of The Void in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #120 from BOOM! Studios. It’s been several years since we last had time with the Solar Rangers, so fans are in for a treat with the release of this week’s installment. How are these heroes dealing with the ongoing threat of the Darkest Hour? Well…let’s just say that it could be going better.

Comic Book Review: Alan Scott: The Green Lantern #6

It all comes down to this! Alan Scott and the Justice Society of America face off against “The Crimson Host”, a Soviet team of Crimson Flame powered warriors. Can our heroes save the day and stop this band of Rage-Powered villains? And just how does The Red Lantern fit into the final battle? From Writer Tim Sheridan, Artist Cian Tormey, Inker Jordi Tarragona, Colorist Matt Herms, and Letterer Lucas Gattoni comes the epic finale of Alan Scott: The Green Lantern!

C2E2 2024 – Star Wars Rebels 10th Anniversary Panel

Star Wars Rebels celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year, and C2E2 held a panel featuring five talented voice actors from the show: Vanessa Marshall (Hera), Freddie Prince Jr. (Kanan), Tiya Sircar (Sabine), Steve Blum (Zeb), and Lars Mikkelsen (Thrawn). There was no chance we were missing this one so we got up early to be first in line.

C2E2 2024: Thank You For My Childhood – The Christopher Lloyd Panel

There’s always a level of camaraderie amongst fellow audience members at convention panels. These are your people, those who gathered together from near and far to share in your appreciation towards an actor or fandom. The energy at the Christopher Lloyd panel was something extra special.
