Comic Review: Uncanny Spider-Man #1

Who’s that swinging through NYC? Why it’s our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man…or is it?  Seems like we have a new Spidey in town, one that has pointy ears and a devil tail. Hmmm…that doesn’t sound like any Spider-Man I know, but that does describe another wall crawler. Nightcrawler has thus far survived being hunted down by the Sentinels. Hiding in plain site as one of the web-slingers with the help of the real Spider-Man, Kurt is trying to stay alive, clear his name and help as many people as he can.

Comic Book Review: Rare Flavours #1

Rare Flavours #1 is devilishly delicious. Ram V and Filipe Andrade cook up a tale worthy of Gaiman or Bourdain. Kevin Gaussoin of ComicsOnline gives Rare Flavours #1 5/5 perfect cups of masala chai.

Comic Book Review: Mech Cadets #2

by Tony Rhea, Reporter When the hits come, they keep coming, and this couldn’t be more true than with this series. Mech Cadets #2 hits us this week, and it hits HARD.  Official Description: The cadets don’t know what’s in store for them…

Comic Book Review: Werewolf by Night #1

THRILL to the exploits of the daring duo as an army of undead, pseudo-dead, and beyond dead creatures of nightmare try to stand up to the combined assault of a chick with a shotgun and a man so angry about being named after a terrier that he periodically turns into the most yoked version of one imaginable!

SDCC 2023: Rafael Grampá’s Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham

Award-winning artist Rafeal Grampa is set to turn the Batman legacy completely on its head this September in his brand new Black Label mini series, Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham. I had the opportunity to speak with Rafael Grampa about Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham at 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, and he informed me that this is a much more adult take on the vigilante, which sees him shedding his humanity and untethering himself from the trappings of his billionaire playboy persona to take on the vilest aspects of humanity.

Comic Review: Captain Marvel: Dark Tempest #3

Faced with holding out and waiting for Captain Marvel to come back to them or take Nada up on her offer to imbue them with powers Keziah, Blake and the anger filled teens are left with the choice on how best to survive being stuck on a toxic alien planet.

Comic Book Review: Daredevil #1 (2023)

Red long johns are initially nowhere in evidence and he is troubled only by faint dreams of seven previous volumes of Marvel-style craziness that he is not anxious to get back to. Alas. Daredevil #1 4/5 -Josh Powell, ComicsOnline
