It was the year 2023. The name of the place is ComicsOnline!

Thanks to our friends at Warner Bros. Discovery Home Animation, we had the opportunity to speak with writer J. Michael Straczynski (Creator of Babylon 5) and director Matt Peters (Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons) about Babylon 5: The Road Home at SDCC 2023.

In this first installment, JMS kindly discussed getting the band back together for this animated adventure, honoring their fallen family, the importance of the WGA and SAG strikes, the narrative structure of this piece compared to mapping out the original series, and more.

Next up is our conversation with Matt Peters. Peters kindly shared his thoughts on bringing the Babylon 5 universe back in this new form.

Every year, our coverage of San Diego Comic-Con features a dazzling array of geek pop culture delights from the established classics to the latest new and different. Due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes, this year was arguably the most different in recent memory. While Hollywood largely walked the picket lines in Los Angeles, ComicsOnline took the opportunity to return to our roots and concentrate on bringing you all the best in comic book news along with some select coverage of movies, television, games, collectables, events, and everything geek pop culture!

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
