Official Description
“REBELS WITH A CAUSE” Who is Falk, really? It is clear to Sylv that his lies are much more sinister than she originally believed. If she and Shadow continue to help him, it might spell doom for the entire realm. An alliance with the sinister Wax and Wayne might be her only way out…

With jumping in to the series on the fourth issue of The Last Barbarians, I expected to be a bit more than confused. Instead, I loved how playfully Harberlin reiterated the main characters’ personas and ties in this ragtag group of Last Barbarians.

Creative Team:
Words by Brian Haberlin with Hannah Wall
Art by Brian Haberlin
Colors by Geirrod Van Dyke
Lettering by Francis Takenaga

Harberlin’s talent had my attention with the cover art and kept it throughout the entire comic. Every page exuded passion for his art and storytelling. The book is colored by Geirrod Van Dyke who hits hard with a detailed Plaguer that ALMOST touched me with his gross eye.

One of the main reasons I will be continuing to pursue The Last Barbarians is that the stunning cover art matched the interior, which can make or break a comic for me as a reader. The story and art sucked me in and took me on a magical ride filled with meet, eat, and retreat. I found myself quickly attached to this story. I enjoy all the spell casting, Plaguer “magical zombies”, panda people, and magical mystical children. Dyke can color me intrigued; definitely grab this issue!  I highly suggest adding this book to your pull list.  With The Last Barbarians‘ fourth issue ending on such a knockout cliffhanger, I will certainly be grabbing issue #5. I don’t want to spoil it: go get your own!

Rating: ★★★★★
ComicsOnline gives The Last Barbarians #4  5 out of 5 panda people.
