Official Description
Eisner-winning writer SALADIN AHMED (Miles Morales) and superstar horror artist DAVE ACOSTA (Elvira) make their Image debut with TerrorWar, a sci-fi horror series about working people fighting mind-bending monsters.Blue City was the last livable place on Earth. Now it’s crawling with Terrors—creatures that transform into their victims’ worst fears. Humanity’s last hope? Muhammad Cho and his overworked, underpaid crew of freelance Terrorfighters.“We’re not heroes—we’re contractors.”

Brain bullets? Well, this first TerrorWar issue sure did lodge one in mine! I’ll be thinking about this issue until next week.  I’m really digging the concept of these giant Terrors,  ranging from adorable to demonic. These brain bullets, wielded by only a few, are the only things that can stop them. This jewel in the darkness will creep from your subconscious straight onto your comic book pages on 4/19/23. TerrorWar pulled on my ’90s video nostalgia heart strings by coloring opposing teams red and blue. What kid raised on video games could resist a good red team / blue team story?

The premise of TerrorWar is an alluring one. I will absolutely be adding this to my pull list. I can’t wait to see how the story about Blue City unfolds. The only surviving city on Earth? I think not!  I’m excited to read how Eisner winning writer, Saladin Ahmed will tell the tale of Blue City. Is it the jewel in the darkness or is it one jewel in an infinity gauntlet?

Rating: ★★★★☆
ComicsOnline gives TerrorWar 4 out of 5 deadly terrors. This world captured my attention quickly and left me wanting more.
