Previously in Star Trek from IDW Publishing, in a quest to stop Kahless from gaining the power of the Gods, the crew of the Theseus had inadvertently awakened the slumbering God City of T’Kon…and it was angry. After finding a way to communicate with the ancient cosmic entity (before it managed to destroy Earth), the crew set out for the next stop on their journey…Deep Space 9!

Official Synopsis:

Benjamin Sisko returns to Deep Space 9, and it’s the family reunion we’ve all been waiting for—or is it? Meanwhile, the crew of the U.S.S. Theseus meet a familiar face from Paramount+ hit show Lower Decks. Continuing Benjamin Sisko’s quest to stop celestial genocide in THE RED PATH, the second arc of the critically acclaimed Star Trek flagship comic series continues!

The moment that we have waited years to see has finally arrived, as Benjamin Sisko finally gets to see his family! Now reunited with his wife Kasidy and daughter Sarah (along with Jake who has been with him since issue #1), the Sisko family get a chance for a happy reunion. Readers are treated to more entertaining meetings, starting with Beverly Crusher and Data spending time at Quark’s. While our TNG/DS9 favorites interact for the first time. As Colonel Kira and Captain Sisko catch-up about the Orb of Destruction, they are met with a welcomed interruption by Lt. Shaxs from Star Trek: Lower Decks! The fan-favorite carries news of the various Orbs of the Prophets, leading Sisko to embark for the last place he’d care to go…Cardassia Prime! What has happened to the once great Cardassian Empire since the Dominion War? Readers are in for a treat with the release of Star Trek #7!

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
