What happens when you take the rebellious teenaged offspring of iconic Disney villains and heroes, put them in prep school together and things stop being polite and start getting real? Disney Family is about to find out with their new original television movie The Descendants (George Clooney not included) due to air in 2015.

While the premise seems a little 90210 I have to say the casting is making me take notice, especially as they have just cast Glenda the Good Witch herself, Kristin Chenoweth is not that first name that springs to mind. Playing one of the single most badass Disney Villains of all time is a big step away from adorably pining after a pie maker, that said I am a fan of counter intuitive casting and this could be the awesomely campy counter point to Angelina Jolie‘s more epic portrayal of the character in the upcoming theatrical release Maleficent, opening on May 30th.

Disney seems to really be putting some weight behind their more villainous characters, which as a little girl who grew up wishing she could turn into a dragon I am totally down with this trend. Now all I want to know who do I have to kill to get an Ursula the Sea Witch movie? Because she was FIERCE!
