Blu-Ray Review: Wu Dang

It feels like forever since I have watched a good kung fu flick in the vein of so many Hong Kong classics. Finally, I get to experience another taste of sweet fighting bliss with the Blu-Ray release of Wu Dang.

Supanova 2013: Melbourne Coverage

Sticking very much to tradition, the numbers of costumed attendees of Supanova Melbourne 2013 seemed to largely outweigh the amount of non-costumed folk, thanks to the gaze-stealing powers of their beloved attire. Just about every character, genre or media format you could think of was on display: videogame icons, television and movie characters, DC and Marvel superheroes, cartoon characters and of course the anime aficionados.

TV Review: The X-Files 1×8 “Ice”

In this episode of The X-Files, Mulder and Scully are snowed in at a base where the former occupants went mad and killed each other. They have assembled a team of scientists to explore the reason why, but can they get to the bottom of it before they start to turn on each other? This is an example of an episode that reminds you of another movie or TV show, but it’s done so well it feels like more of an homage.

Editorial: Chelsea’s Top Ten Favorite Animated Guys

This was actually written just for fun. One of my favorite online personalities The Nostalgia Critic did 10 Hottest Animated Woman, so I said ehhh might be fun. Don’t judge me. Although I am starting to think I seriously have a type I didn’t even realize until now. Still, the point is that some animated characters are attractive, and they’re drawn to be that way. Disney draws their characters to be beautiful, both men and women. This covers movies and TV shows. When I started writing I realized I wasn’t really talking about how the characters looked though, it was much more about their personality, so in the end I went with favorite animated guys. Who I would  probably date. If they existed. Keep in mind this is all personal opinion.

TV Review: Game of Thrones 3×2 “Dark Wings, Dark Words”

In this episode of Game of Thrones, the show updates us on all of the characters it couldn’t get to in the first one. We see the current status of Arya, Bran, Rickon, Jaime, Brienne, and Theon. While it might not have been action packed, it was important to give everyone a base line of where the characters are and what to expect from here. Game of Thrones is on HBO Sunday nights at 9 PM EST.

TV Review: The X-Files 1×7 “Ghost In The Machine”

In this episode of X-Files, the show does a pretty horrible rip off of Space Odyssey and dates itself worse than ever before. Well, X-Files, they can’t all be winners. Between the hilarious computer problems and bad music, for the first time I could absolutely tell this was the 90s. Oh well. Better luck next time!

TV Review: Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters – “Rebellion”

by Erin Hatch, Editor-At-Large Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters continues with “Rebellion” an action packed installment that continues the momentum of the first three episodes and brings the third season’s first story arch to an exciting climax. SPOILER ALERT! Humanity is…

Movie Review: Trance

"Young Professor X" is back to scramble our minds in Danny Boyle's Trance. Simon (James McAvoy – X-Men First Class) is struck unconscious during an art auction heist. When he gets out of the hospital, the art thief gang bring him to a hypnotist (Rosario Dawson – Men in Black II, Clerks II, Sin City II) to try and discover where he hid the £27M ($41.5M) Francisco de Goya Flying Witches painting.
