He’s the man with the out-of-this-world fans and it seems that William Shatner is a fan himself… a fan of Oz
Comic-Con that is! That’s right, the Shat is coming back! Film and television icon William Shatner will be
appearing at Oz Comic-Con Melbourne on July 6 and 7. Beloved for his legendary roles including Star Trek’s
Captain James T. Kirk and Boston Legal’s Denny Crane, Shatner was in Australia earlier this year for the
extremely successful Oz Comic-Con Perth and Oz Comic-Con Adelaide events.
Not only will Shatner be at the two-day mega-convention, he will also be hosting an exclusive meet and greet put
on by event organizers. Plus, dedicated fans can snap up the limited ‘Shatner Experience’ tickets for the ultimate
Shatner weekend. The people have spoken and Oz Comic-Con has answered with even more Shatner.
Among the previously announced guests joining Shatner at Oz Comic-Con Melbourne this year are Cary Elwes
(The Princess Bride, Saw, Robin Hood: Men in Tights), Shannen Doherty (Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed), Tia
Carrere (Wayne’s World, Relic Hunter) and The Rocky Horror Picture Show’s Patricia Quinn and Nell Campbell
(Magenta and Columbia respectively). This is alongside an ever-increasing list of international and local film, TV,
animation, illustration and comic stars.
Oz Comic-Con Melbourne will also feature exclusive film screenings, an array of exhibitors and retailers selling
unique collectibles and hard-to-find merchandise, comic books and anime, gaming demonstrations, industry
masterclasses and cosplay competitions.
Oz Comic-Con 2013 is brought to Australia by DCA Enterprises – the Sydney-based company also responsible for
