Well, folks. WonderCon 2013 is now a not-so-distant memory for me. Is it a good memory? Why, yes. Yes it is. Unfortunately, the excitement overload from my first non-anime convention has rendered me unable to move. It was totally worth it, and yet I wish I could do it all again next weekend (after I sleep for the rest of the week, of course).
I wish I had more time to attend more events, but my duties had me running around like a crazy person. I skimmed over a bunch of booths and told myself that I’d go back to them, but I never did and that makes me sad. MAYBE if I had an extra day I could browse to my heart’s content. I did have the opportunity to attend the DC panel, the Superman Unchained premiere, the Falling Skies panel, and the Lego Batman: The Movie premiere. Really my only regret panel-wise is that I wasn’t able to attend the Zuko’s mom comic panel, but I REALLY REALLY wish I could’ve went over the booths and vendors with more scrutiny. I probably missed a lot of amazing things because I was in such a hurry most of the time.
I don’t think I’ve seen this many people who share common interests in once place before. Not to mention the amount of people who attended with such well-made cosplays. There were so many things I wanted to see and buy but alas, I didn’t have the time or money to do so. Maybe next time I’ll be more prepared (I.E. manage my time and money a bit better). learn how to sew so I could parade around in an extravagant cosplay. and have a better idea of what panels I want to attend. I enjoyed my first WonderCon and I hope to attend more conventions in the future!
