Sounds Good
by Karl MadsenDo you miss the good old days of passionate, blues driven rock? The music where each instrument has character and a place in the song? Well, I found a five piece, out of Austin, Texas, that just signed to Nuclear Blast Records called Scorpion Child. Reminiscent of Uriah Heep, Rainbow, Saxon, and Bloodrock, they take this sound and brand it with their own style and passion.
Check out the song Kings Highway from their upcoming, self titled release. (May 2013)

This one may surprise some people, but I discovered her on the TV. show Revenge. Even if you don’t watch Sunday night television you’ve probably seen her on the James Bond Heineken commercial. Gin Wigmore is a New Zealand singer and songwriter who has achieved fame in her homeland, and is looking to make a name for her in America.
Listen to Black Sheep from her recent Man Like That EP.
