Blu-ray Review: Doctor Who: The Complete Sixth Series (and Giveaway Contest – Ends 12/7)
by Kroze Kresky, Media Editor
When Stephen Moffat took the Doctor Who reigns from Russel T. Davies, people wondered if he could possibly keep up the feeling of wonder and excitement that RTD was able to inject into Doctor Who during his 5 year run on the series. Moffat, who is no stranger to blowing people’s minds over and over again, has more than proven himself again, showing that Series 5 was not just a fluke occurrence. Doctor Who: The Complete Sixth Series on Blu-ray gives us everything we have wanted and much much MORE!
Movie Review: Hugo
by Ryan Ocular, Guest Reviewer
Hugo is a superb film that offers more than viewers might expect. You would expect it to be about Hugo and his adventure to get an automaton working. However, the movie heads into an unexpected arc as captivating as Hugo’s. To avoid spoiling the magic of the film, I will refrain from exposing it. There is also a note of concern for parents as the second arc becomes serious and dark. I would suggest this film for 9 year olds and older so they can understand and appreciate it more. Nonetheless, it is a masterful movie experience.

Blu-ray Review: Super 8
Super 8, the newest film from the mind of LOST creator J.J. Abrams and Sci-Fi mastermind Steven Spielberg, is now available for you to own in a special Blu-ray/DVD combo pack!
So, what is Super 8 and why do you need to watch it? Imagine E.T. The Extraterrestrial and Cloverfield, mash them together with a dash or two of awesome special effects. This movie is a solid win for Paramount Studios and Amblin Entertainment (who also made E.T.), as it allowed audiences to experience a great take on the science fiction genre, with the pleasant addition of a genuine, feel good story and believable cast of characters from an 80’s movie.
