Guess who’s coming for dinner?
After less than a YEAR of being “dead”, it seems that the Human Torch is returning to the Fantastic Four. While no one will truly be surprised by this (since we never saw a body), it just feels rushed. The current development and story arc for the former Fantastic Four (now FF) has been fun and exciting, but bringing Johnny back so soon doesn’t allow for much creativity to flourish.
If you are going to make a huge event out of the death of a major iconic character, why not have it actually mean something. I know it’s comics, but can’t anyone just stay dead? At least Bucky stayed “dead” for several decades before he came back. Batman was “dead” for over a year. Hell, I bet Peter Parker in the Ultimate Universe will stay “dead” longer than the Human Torch.
Too soon Marvel, too soon.
