Comic-Con was the stage for the new FOX show Terra Nova. The last hope for humanity is set 85 million years into the past, that is the set for this sci-fi show that promises lots of dinosaurs.
- The panel for this new series was the first of the 2 hour series premier.
- The series is created by Craig Silverstein (Nikita) and Kelly Marcel
- Part of the cast consists of Jason O’Mara (Life on Mars) as Jim Shannon, Shelley Conn (Marchlands UK) as Dr. Elizabeth Shannon, Stephen Lang (Avatar) as Frank Taylor and Landon Liboiron (Life Unexpected) as Josh Shannon.
- The series follows the Shannon family in the 22ndcentury.
- Earth’s ecosystem is falling apart, so they have developed a new community in the past that only by recruiting or lottery you may go.
- After many complications they escape to the past as the only way for humanity and them to survive together as a family
- There are dinosaurs galore
- Lots of action, a futuristic sci-fi element and a human hope of survival
- The filming is done in Australia
- It is a high budget, motion picture quality kind of series
- The producers promise to keep it as a dinosaur show
- The series starts this fall, on Fox Monday nights
