While the outside of the convention center was lined with anxious people who never knew which line to get into, indoors was a little bit more relaxed. Because the Exhibit Hall didn’t open until 6, upstairs seemed like the place to be. Under The Sails was crowded with people getting their badges, getting limited Comic-Con bags (those were even bigger than some people, including me), and walking around the freebee tables, looking for anything and everything happening at Con.
Once the Dealer Floor opened, everyone filtered downstairs to get a first peek at Comic Con 2010. Though we expected it to be packed as usual, the floor was amazingly lax, full with plenty of Preview Night Exclusives. Wandering around, gawking at the strangest things only to be seen at Con, we wandered up to a card booth that just happened to have Zachary Levi autograph cards. The vendor selling the cards told us all about the cards. Only 258 of the cards were made and signed, and this guy had 100 of them! He had a Preview Night Exclusive – $15 for one card!! Eventually, my best friend, Judith, decided to buy one of those extremely rare and awesome cards. But the vendor decided to give her 2 for $20, leaving us both with awesome Zachary Levi autograph cards.
Throughout the night, we ran into a bunch of cool things, including Lego Toy Story characters, big stuffed Pikachu’s, and Spongebob posters with EVERY character that has EVER been on the Spongebob T.V. show. By the end of the night, we were exhausted and ready for bed. Once we decided to head home, we were satisfied with our Preview Night Exclusives and everything we got to see in a relaxed environment. But be warned – that was only Preview Night. During the next for days, the Convention Center is going to be a madhouse.
