Leverage: The First Season DVD Set
TNT has really started to come up with creative original series, and right now they have some of the hottest TV: The Closer, Raising The Bar, Saving Grace, and one of their newer shows Leverage. What appealed to me about Leverage from the first time I saw it was the Robin Hood-like pretense, and the quirkiness of the five main characters. They are each memorable in their own way and add just enough to the show for it to be a hit ensemble cast. The show is premiering its second season on July 15th, and just in time the first season is being officially released on July 14th. This is the perfect time to pick up the first season and learn all about this show before it starts again, and for you fans to get a happy reminder of this adventure Ocean's Eleven-esque show.

Ryan Reynolds is GREEN LANTERN!
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Ryan Reynolds has just been officially cast as Hal Jordan for the upcoming live action Green Lantern film…and I couldn't be more excited. Reynolds is perfect for the role. His average joe reactions and comic timing make this a solid choice.
In my opinion, Green Lantern can't hit theatres soon enough.
Stay tuned to ComicsOnline for more information on Green Lantern as it becomes available.

DVD Review: Claymore, Chapter 6 The Awakening
The secret of Clare comes out in this the final Chapter of the story. Clare is pushed to the point of no return and is in danger of fully awakening. The foes are stronger and more deadly than ever and the past has come back to haunt Clare. This beautifully rendered series closes it's doors to us, but hopefully not forever.

DVD Review: Samurai Champloo: The Complete Series
1850s Samurai culture meets 1995 New York Hip Hop culture. Well, almost. This unique series brought a typical story line and made it into a slick contemporary production. This period piece is placed near the end of the Edo Period when Japan was ruled by the Tokugama shogunate. This period is also seen as the beginning of the modern era for Japan. The world began to open to them with the arrival of the Black Ships and the influx of the western culture. Samurai Champloo takes the blending of these two cultures literal at times, but the blending is also from different time periods. The raw approach that was taken by Shinichhiro Watanabe, the creator and director, is gratifying in its beauty and also unnerving in it's raw punch at times.
DVD Review: Johnny Got His Gun
Every once in a while a movie comes along that‘s almost perfect and Johnny Got His Gun is one of those. Based on Dalton Trumbo’s (screenwriter Spartacus, Exodus, Roman Holiday) 1939 novel and screenplay, and directed by Dalton Trumbo, this anti-war movie is a work of beauty.
