Manga Review: Honey Hunt, Volume 3
Yura Onozuka is lost, caught between the glamour lives of her famous parents and her own normalcy. The goals and dreams she has are destroyed when she finds her best friend (and love interest) sleeping with her mother! How can she forgive her mother's deliberate betrayal, and her father's absolute non-existence, particularly when they remain perfect in the eyes of the world? After all, the media never lies. Does it?
Yura decides to show everyone the truth, and fight on her mother's terms — becoming an actress herself. This seems the only way to make the media listen to her side of the story. But can she, the shy normal girl, really become a star?
DVD Review: Gabriel Iglesias “I’m Not Fat… I’m Fluffy” Live From El Paso
Gabriel Iglesias may be another example of an "overnight success" years in the making. Just now starting to achieve broad popularity, the comedian has been performing since 1997, first in small clubs in Southern California where he grew up, then larger venues around the southwest, eventually getting invites to do small bits on specials and shows like Late Late, Kimmel, and eventually Leno. He was already well established by the time he appeared on Last Comic Standing where he did well before being disqualified for BlackBerrying his longtime grirlfriend on his status.
Manga Review: Hikaru No Go Volume 17
Hikaru no Go is a gem. Pure and wonderful, from start to finish, the series is one of the most fantastic stories ever, deep and heart-warming, with incredible artwork to match. The premise is simple: in modern japan, a bored school-age brat stumbles upon a Go board (not unlike western civilization's Chess, in terms of complexity and dullness to the uninitiated) and becomes possessed by a master of the game from centuries past. Crazy stuff — like life — happens.

Manga Review: Kekkashi – Volume 19
Kekkashi is a shōnen action/comedy manga set in the present day where Yoshimori Sumimura, a lazy and stubborn middle school boy, and Tokine Yukimura, slightly older childhood friend of Yoshimori's who wants to protect him, are heirs of the Hazama clan. Yoshimori's Kekkai powers are strong and wild whereas Tokine's are subtle, but accurate. They protect the land and the power from demons. If a demon comes close to the power source, they become stronger as well; they eventually form an organization to do just that when their efforts are thwarted individually. In addition, clans also vie for power. Volume 19 begins such a power struggle between the Ogi clan and Sumimura clan.

Manga Review: Hayate the Combat Butler – Volume 13
Hayate the Combat Butler Volume 13, the shōnen manga, contines its comedic storyline as it constantly finds ways to make continual fun of just about everything. While this volume does break the fourth wall on a couple of occasions, it is mostly related to the anime. Volume 13 continues with a bunch of 1-2 chapter stories, sometimes building on past continuity of previous chapters. The end of the volume begins a slightly longer café arc. While most of the chapters are essentially gag chapters, for the most part they do seem to have a bit more character development than the previous volume.
