“Looks like, where blasting off again.”
This is another step in Ash Ketchum’s journey to be a pokemon master. Like always, Ash has his good friend Pikachu and Brock and a newer friend, Dawn. This time Ash and the gang are in the Sinnoh region, with a lot of new challengers but even though they are in a new turf, Brock still falls in love with any pretty girl he meets. While Brock is trying to get a cute girl, Ash is determined to beat every gym leader in Sinnoh and Dawn is trying to get five contest ribbons. Since this is a new region with unseen wonders, there are bound to be many adventures along the way.
Highlights
Through the eight episode much happens, there is a good deal of personal develepment. Ash and his newest pokemon Chimchar become closer, after a group of Zangouses attacks Chimchar, it realizes that Ash really cares about it and is it’s friend. James from Teem Rocket says good bye to one of his Cacnea that he is really close to, so it can become as powerful as it could be. Ash trades his Aipom for Dawn’s Buisil, and even though the trade was obvious, it was still hard to say good bye to friends. Those are only a few examples of what happens and the rest you will half to find out on your own.

Overview
This volume of Pokemon Battle Dimension is pretty good. The plots is solid and the characters are well developed . Even though it was all entertaining, I found that almost half of the episodes didn’t need to be in the series. This is the second season in the Sinnoh region and so far in this series Dawn has only won one contest ribbon and Ash has two or three gym badges. So I think that the series is going to a little slow and has to many side stories. Although, I missed most of the earlier episodes when they first aired on T.V., I didn’t notices that I missed them when watching later episodes. The problems I have with this volume don’t compare with the fantastic story line.
ComicsOnline gives Pokemon:DP Battle Dimension Volume 1, 4 out of 5 super power lighting attacks.
