What happens when professional wrestlers enter the acting arena? Stone Cold has done one fairly well; John Cena has two under his belt. Dwayne “The Rock“ Johnson has such a lucrative career acting he doesn‘t wrestle any more. And Hulk Hogan, well he‘s The Hulkster. Next on the list of possible future action stars, at least if Vince McMahon has his way, is Ken “Mr. Kennedy” Anderson.
Mr. Kennedy starts his new career in Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia as Chief Carter Holt, who along with his commanding Officer Lt. Sean Macklin (Joe Manganiello – Spiderman 3), must rescue one of the team being held hostage, and escape Columbia.
During a mission into Columbia Macklins S.E.A.L. Team is ambushed and two members killed and one taken hostage, Petty Officer Kevin Derricks (Channon Roe – Psycho Beach Party). And if being labeled war criminals by the Colombian government, their command center has been commandeered by the C.I.A. operative Agent Dodd (Tim Matheson – Van Wilder), and they have been abandoned and told to surrender.

I really wanted to like this movie. Being a wrestling fan I want to see the wrestlers break out and show that they have talent. Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia wasn‘t that vehicle. Not that it wasn‘t a good flick, it just wasn‘t Mr. Kennedy‘s. Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia is a movie that doesn‘t break any boundaries and has few surprises, but the acting is descent, the story may not be clever or unique but it is fun and has lots of intrigue and explosions. The casting of Mr. Kennedy as Chief Holt is the biggest flaw.
