Blu-ray & DVD Review: The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Maybe it was a San Diego City Schools thing, but ComicsOnline Editor-in-Chief Kevin Gaussoin reports that years earlier, he had nearly the same experience in school.
DVD Review: The Polar Express presented in 3-D
This is the 3-D version of what I believe is one of most magical Christmas movies of all time. The digital effects alone are amazing (the film uses live motion capture technology), and the story is good enough to re-kindle the spirit of Christmas in even the most cynical adult.
DVD Review: Mister Foe
British director Peter MacKenzie and screen writer Ed Whitmore adapt the 2002 novel of the same name, a quirky, bittersweet, coming-of-age psychodrama by Peter Jinks.

“THIS. IS. SPARTA!”
Frank Miller is known for many things: His impressive story Sin City, saving the Batman Franchise with the definitive Batman story The Dark Knight Returns and his beautiful take on the tale of Leonidas and the Warriors of Sparta in the graphic novel 300. In 2007, Miller’s 300 made the jump to the big screen with the help of Director Zack Synder. Now the epic film 300 has been re-released on DVD in a new limited edition set!

Nintendo DS Game Review: What’s Cooking? With Jamie Oliver
Here is some information about me that you absolutely do not need to know. I hate cooking. Really, I find little need for it in my life, as going through the effort of creating a good meal is expensive, time consuming and oftentimes more complicated than it needs to be, especially when I’m hungry and am only cooking for myself, which is pretty much every time I go near a kitchen, because I live a lonely life governed largely by the primal commands of my body.
Seriously, I have a point here somewhere.
DVD Review: Freaks and Geeks Yearbook Edition
High school is hard for everyone. It’s a time in your life where you really start to figure out who you are and try to define yourself. The biggest trick is figuring it out while fitting in with the rest of the school. The hit TV series Freaks and Geeks from comedy mastermind Judd Apatow (The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Superbad) explores the trials and tribulations that we all must face. Shout Factory has just released one of the greatest TV on DVD collections to date as Freaks and Geeks: Yearbook Edition. This set includes the entire 18 episode series which ran from 1999-2000. The realistic and honest take on high school the and inherent problems that we all go through defined this series and sets it above the rest.

Game Review: Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (PS3)
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is the best Spider-Man game ever.
The acrobatics, the story, the guest stars, the villains, the art, the multiple paths and endings… Wait! Before we really begin the love fest that is the recount of my perception of this game, let’s pretend for a moment that this is a regular review you might find somewhere other than ComicsOnline, and nickpick it mercilessly, okay? Here goes…
Nitpicks:
Xbox 360 Game Review: Too Human
Too Human is an Xbox 360 exclusive action role playing game from silicon knights, the people who brought you the underrated Eternal Darkness for the Nintendo Gamecube. It is the first game in a trilogy that mixes Norse mythology and sci-fi technology. You play as Baldur, the son of Odin, in a never-ending war against the machines that are trying to exterminate the human race. The story unfolds thorough a series cut scenes with heavy exposition, but manages to stay interesting despite it’s often heavy handedness.

Blu-ray & DVD Review: Tropic Thunder
Tropic Thunder is an action movie set in the Vietnam war set within a comedy of the same name. Whether you’re talking about the comedy or the war drama within, Tropic Thunder is an all-star extravaganza that satires stardom, war movies, and really all of Hollywood.
Ben Stiller (producer of The Ruins) stars as Tugg Speedman as who in turn stars as Four Leaf Tayback. Speedman is the ultimate action hero whose fame has seen better days.
Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda) stars as Jeff Portnoy who in turn stars as Fats. Portnoy is a heroin addict whose fame is largely based on movies featuring himself playing multiple roles in fat suits.
Blu-ray Review: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Star Wars: The Clone Wars does what no Star Wars prequel has ever done: Not suck.
Sure, Episode I had pod racing and a cool battle with Darth Maul, Episode II had Yoda battling Dooku and the arena scene, and Episode III had a battle scene on Kashyyyk, a place we hadn’t seen since the Holiday Special, but overall, they were an embarrassment to all us old school fans of the original trilogy. They featured whiny Anakin whining his whiny face all over the whiny place… They just weren’t good.
DVD Review: Wanted (Two Disc Special Edition)
I didn’t know that God was really that vengeful. I’m sure that everyone would be surprised to find out that God headed up a group of assassins. Ok, not really God but Morgan Freeman, who has played God on occasion. He is the head of an organization of assassins in the movie Wanted. It came out during the summer, and was based on a limited series comic book by Mark Millar, but since you are on ComicsOnline, I shouldn’t have to tell you that. Now, Wanted (Two Disc Special Edition) is out on DVD.
