Chelsea Doyle is the definition of a geek girl. She loves video games, comic books, science fiction, and has a near addiction to current television. She freelanced for ComicsOnline.com and various other publications for years, often going to conventions and doing on-camera interviews. She is currently a journalist for a local newspaper in Maine, but she spends her free time editing and writing for ComicsOnline.com. Her family owned a comic book store for most of her life, so she’d spend hours surrounded by old issues. Her favorite comic character is Batman. Don’t ask her about 52. She will send mind bullets at you (that’s telekinesis, Kyle!). She was a full time video game journalist, and her favorites include Mass Effect, Halo, Tomb Raider, and Uncharted. She’s not allowed to play the Sims or any version of the Sims anymore, because of her borderline obsession with it.
Chelsea is a movie fanatic with hundreds of DVDs in her collection, and she regularly sees whatever is coming to the theater. When she heard Joss Whedon was directing Avengers, she spent most of the day grinning maniacally, squealing randomly, and doing a happy jig. She’d like to laugh in the face of all naysayers from now on. Ha ha.
For several years Chelsea hosted a podcast about Leverage, which sadly was canceled in 2012. She has continued that podcast with her best friend Jachelle, fellow ComicsOnline reporter, and they are slogging through famous beloved canceled shows now. Chelsea was once told by Nathan Fillion she looks like Summer Glau, and while that is not true, she will forever be delighted by the comparison. She likes to go to Renaissance Faires and collects weapons. Beware her wrath. Despite the fact she is tiny. While these photos have her wearing glasses, she had lasers fix her eyes (lasers!) so that is no longer applicable.
Chelsea has her own blog at Media Nerd Alert with Jachelle, and she cross posts many of her articles from there to ComicsOnline.com. She is glad to be officially back with the staff as of 2013 instead of a random freelancer.
