Joey attended her first SDCC dressed as Red Sonja in the mid-1980s,
when it was still at the Civic Center in downtown San Diego. She
purchased her first sword at that same Con and discovered what great
joy it was to carry around weapons in public. Thus she discovered the
art of cosplay.

An avid fan of comics, movies, and everything geek, Joey is right at
home here on ComicsOnline.com and donates time on creative services
whenever she’s able.  In real life she’s a graphic designer, creative
director and marketing maven. When she grows up (someday), she hopes
to be a comic book artist.
