A few impressions from SDCC 2011
It has come and gone so fast – San Diego Comic Con 2011 – and once again it was a blast!
Without further ado, here are some of my personal favorite moments:
Wednesday (Preview night) I had to geek out on anything Battlestar Galactica, of course..
Nice little ‘Viper’ model!
Thursday I attended the only panel that had anything to do with Battlestar Galactica, “So Say we all”, hosted by Richard Hatch. It also had Michael Taylor and Dr Kevin Grazier (BG science consultant) in attendance. A surprise guest was actress Lili Bordan from the upcoming ‘Blood and Chrome’ pilot.
SDCC 2011: The Venture Bros – Interview
ComicsOnline’s resident boy reporter Kroze (Superman’s “Friend”) was at Comic-Con 2011 to talk to Venture Brothers creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer about the new season and their upcoming 15-minute special. Check out the video after the break, in which Kroze and Doc Hammer start going steady, and the pair answer a variety of Kroze’s hard-hitting questions about their writing process, the future of the show, and, of course, dinosaurs. Before you do, please take the time to catch up with Kroze’s interactions with Hammer and Publick at Comic-Con 2010.
Here’s 2010:
And catch the sequel from last week’s Comic-Con 2011 after the break…
SDCC2011: Futurama – Panel Coverage
by Daniel Reamer, Reporter
Futurama returns to Comic-Con this year with a panel full of laughs including Billy West (Philip J. Fry, Professor Zoidberg and more), Katey Segal (Leela), John Di Maggio (Bender), Phil LaMarr (Hermes), Maurice LaMarche (Calculon), Creator Matt Groening and Executive Producer David Cohen.
The panel started off with a sneak preview of this season’s finale called “Reincarnation”. While we only saw one third of this finale based on a like anime animation, the others will also be in different formats including 80’s videogames.
Some highlights from the panel include:
