What can I say about Impractical Jokers? Other than the fact that it is the most hilarious show I have ever seen. Four friends (Joe, Q, Sal, and Murray) decided that they needed to go to the next step of their comedy careers. Hence, the hidden camera show Impractical Jokers was born and aired on truTV. In all my years of watching TV (granted I’m pretty young still), I have never seen anything like this show. I would say it was a cross between the show Jackass and Punk’d. The stunts that are pulled on this show will either cause you to laugh hysterical or be grossed out. It is a good time to be had!

So the premise for the show is that the four friends dare each other to do pranks to the unsuspecting public. All of it will be caught on the hidden cameras in the area. It is whether or not they accomplish it and win the points that determine the loser in the end. In the end, the loser has to do this really embarrassing dare.

Now I personally love watching this show. Who wouldn’t want another person to say or do whatever they tell them to? And if they don’t they don’t win. I find it infinite more hilarious when I watched the episodes with commentary. You find out the most interesting things that they point out about these episodes. As I watched this DVD, I had my aunt with me so imagine watching something and having not only the commentary from the comedians, but also from your aunt. I think I laughed so hard I busted my gut.

The pranks that are pulled are not mean in anyway. They are funny. I find it funny that Sal usually can’t keep his cool during some of the things he is asked to do. These pranks are also things I would never think about pulling on friends of mine, which is awesome because now I’m getting ideas. Some people might not see it my way, but I feel you have to have a good sense of zany humor to get this show.

Some of the special features include an app that you can interact with. Other features included deleted scenes, behind the scenes, and a meet the stars section. So you get the typical things you get with a DVD. I find the deleted scenes the best for the fact these were the pranks they probably could not show on air. The meeting of the cast was something a bit different that I normally wouldn’t expect on a comedy DVD, it was interesting to say the least.

The video quality of the DVD is what you’d expect. I would not want to watch it on my 70’ inch HD TV, but for popping into my computer for my 21’ screen or even my 43’ TV it’s good. I loved it for the fact that when I was on my computer watching it everything was crystal clear.

The sound was also good. In the commentary, the comedians even joke about how trying to get some of the audio was making the sound crew crazy. In the end, they did an awesome job in keeping the levels clear enough that we can understand what is going on in the prank.

All in all, I found that Impractical Jokers the Complete First Season a hilarious comedy package all in a two DVD set. If you like funny, I would definitely recommend getting it.
