Mike is an Editor at ComicsOnline.com (Specifically: anime, comics and books) He’s been with the site for a few years now and loves writing about all sorts of things. In general he just likes writing.
He plays in an electronic pop band called Atoms Apart with fellow staff member Emil Favila, where they write, sings, plays guitar, bass and keyboards, records and mixes all their own music. Their first album came out in 2014.
Mike has been reading comics since he was about 4, when his uncle Asiong gave him a bunch of Amazing Spider-Man comics from the 60s. They are a prize possession. Another is his Gwen Stacy from John Romita, Sr. procured while he was eating a hot dog.
He once told Kevin Smith that Clerks was the best black and white movie since Schindler’s List, and made Jason Lee take a picture of him with Kevin, right after the first showing of Mallrats in San Diego Comic Con. He misses San Diego Comic Con, before it was swamped by people looking for the cast of Friends.
He has a pretty wife and 3 children, and loves biking with his little son Derek and attempting French meals from the Anthony Bourdain and Thomas Keller cookbooks.
